The adult Supercut runs about $22 to $30 for anyone. Women’s tickets end up higher because long hair takes 40 minutes where a short cut takes 20.

Layers and face-framing are part of the cut price. So is a quick rough dry at many salons, just don’t expect a finished, smoothed-out style.

Very thick or curly hair is the gray zone. Some owners charge the long-hair rate for a shoulder-length curly cut, and others don’t.

We think that’s fair. A dense 3C curl pattern can take twice as long to section and cut as fine straight hair of the same length.

Our advice is to say your hair length and texture at check-in and ask for the price out loud. A 10-second question saves a $15 surprise.

What long hair costs at Supercuts

Long hair usually costs $28 to $45 at Supercuts. The top of that range is for waist-length or very thick hair that needs a wash first.

A standalone blowout, with no cut, is possible at some salons. It’s not something every location lists, so call before you check in for one.

Flat iron and curling iron finishes usually fall under the same styling price. Thick hair that takes 45 minutes to dry lands near $38.

A dedicated blow-dry bar will usually do a smoother finish. Supercuts is the cheaper choice when you mainly want clean, dry, cut hair before a work trip.

Special occasion styling and updos

Special occasion styles at Supercuts cost about $45 to $65 at the salons that do them. That covers updos, formal curls and simple braids for events.

Not every Supercuts does updos. It depends on whether a stylist on staff is comfortable with them, so this is one service you should book ahead.
