Quick answer
Supercuts hair color prices start near $45 for all-over color and reach about $130 for full highlights in 2026. Men’s gray blending is the cheapest color service, at $25 to $45.
These are estimates. Each salon sets its own price, and many want you to call or book ahead for color.

Color is where a Supercuts bill jumps. A $26 cut becomes a $100 visit once foils come out, so it pays to know the numbers before you sit down.
Supercuts, the walk-in hair salon chain owned by Regis Corporation, had 1,744 salons in March 2026. About 1,648 were franchised, and franchise owners set color prices.

What is Supercolor at Supercuts?
Supercolor is the name many Supercuts salons use for their color menu. It covers permanent and demi-permanent shades, highlights and gray coverage.
Not every salon runs every service. The Supercuts Utah franchise, for example, lists full color, highlights and gray blending but no balayage.
So treat the menu as a maximum. What your local salon actually does depends on which stylists are trained in color and who is working that day.
How much is all-over color or a root touch-up?
All-over color costs about $45 to $80. That’s one shade from roots to ends, applied, processed for 30 minutes or so, then rinsed.
A root touch-up is cheaper, $35 to $55, because it only covers regrowth. Most people with gray roots need one every 4 to 6 weeks.
Hair past your shoulders changes the math. Many salons charge $10 to $20 more for long or thick hair, since it takes a second bowl of color.
Our advice is simple. If you already have a shade you like, the root touch-up is the best-value color service on the whole Supercuts menu.
Supercuts highlights price, partial vs full
The Supercuts highlights price is about $55 to $90 for partial foils and $80 to $130 for a full head. Partials cover the top and face frame.
Full highlights take up to 2 hours. If the salon has one colorist on shift, a Saturday booking can fill fast, so call on a Tuesday or Wednesday.
Going from dark brown to pale blonde in one visit is a different job. That’s multiple rounds of lightener, and we’d send you to a color-focused salon for it.
Here’s the thing people miss. Highlights often need a toner afterward, which adds $20 to $40, so a $90 quote can turn into $125 at the register.
Gray blending for men at Supercuts
Men’s gray blending costs $25 to $45 and takes 10 to 20 minutes. It softens gray without covering it all, so it grows out without a hard line.
Most men pair it with a haircut. A $24 cut plus $35 of gray blending is about $59 before tip, and you’re out in under 45 minutes.
It’s the color service most likely to fit in without a long booking. Still, check the app first, since not every stylist on shift does color.
Beards can be blended too at some salons. Ask at the desk, because pricing for beard color isn’t listed on every menu we’ve looked at.
Toner and balayage prices
A toner or gloss runs $20 to $40. It fixes yellow or orange tones after lightening and fades in roughly 6 to 8 weeks.
Balayage is the long shot. Few Supercuts salons offer it, and those that do charge about $90 to $150. We honestly don’t know how many salons list it.
If balayage is your goal, a salon that does it daily will probably give a better result. Supercuts is built around 20-minute cuts, not 3-hour color.
How to book a color appointment at Supercuts
Haircuts run on online check-in, but color usually doesn’t. These steps get you a real quote and a time slot.
- Find your salon. Open the Supercuts app or supercuts.com and pick the location closest to you.
- Call the salon directly. Ask if a colorist is working on the day you want and which color services they offer.
- Describe your hair. Give your hair length, current color and the result you want, so the quote is accurate.
- Ask for the full price. Confirm whether toner, a long-hair charge or a haircut is included.
- Book the time slot. Leave 1 to 3 hours depending on the service and arrive a few minutes early.
The app is free on the App Store and Google Play. Our appointment and check-in guide covers the rest.
What goes wrong with a color bill?
| Issue | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Quote rose by $15 at the salon | Long or thick hair needed extra color | Give your length when you call |
| Highlights cost $30 more than listed | Toner was added | Ask if toner is included before foils start |
| Salon couldn’t do color on a walk-in | No colorist on shift | Book ahead by phone |
| Brassy result a week later | No toner, or dark base hair | Ask about a gloss visit |
Rewards points still count on color. Under Supercuts Rewards, a $100 highlight visit earns 100 points, worth $5. See our coupons and rewards page.

Supercuts color FAQs
Does Supercuts do fashion colors like blue or pink?
Some salons do, but it isn’t a standard menu item. Call first and ask if a stylist on staff works with bright colors and pre-lightening.
Can I bring my own box dye to Supercuts?
Most salons won’t apply outside color, since they can’t vouch for the product. Ask your salon, because the franchise owner makes that call.
Is a haircut included with Supercuts highlights?
Usually not. The haircut is priced on its own, so add about $22 to $30 if you want a cut on the same visit.
How long does Supercuts gray blending last?
Roughly 4 to 6 weeks. The color fades gradually with washing, so there’s no sharp line as your gray grows back in.
Do seniors get a discount on Supercuts color?
Senior pricing normally applies to haircuts only. A few franchise salons may extend it to color, so ask when you book.
